OTTAWA - Ethan Werek had a goal and an assist Friday night as the Kingston Frontenacs knocked off the Ottawa 67's 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League action.

Brian Lashoff scored a power-play goal late in the third period to close out the scoring and send the Frontenacs (5-4-0) to victory. Much of the credit for the win should go to goaltender Tyler Beskorowany, who made 40 saves.

Cody Lindsay was the only Ottawa player to beat the Kingston netminder, and he did so 21 seconds into the game.

Chris Perugini had 25 saves for the 67's (2-3-3) who are struggling under first-year coach Chris Byrne.

"The effort was (there) and I think we did a lot of good things," Byrne said. "Some details, some of the guys are not getting and that's the frustrating part. We put a pretty good effort forth but I thought if we had been a little more attentive to what we were doing we wouldn't have given pucks away on a goal or two."
